BZS Lecture: “An Introduction To Lichens”

The latest installment in the Bermuda Zoological Society lecture series will see a talk presented by Dr. Scott LaGreca on the topic of “An Introduction to Lichens: A Focus on Bermuda.”

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, May 17 at 7.00pm, with doors opening at 6.00pm. The event is free and open to the public, with a donation of $5 “gratefully accepted.”

The event poster says, “Dr. Scott LaGreca, Curator of Cornell University’s Plant Pathology Herbarium, has studied the lichen flora of Bermuda for the past 10 years and will give an introduction to lichens, then tell us about his research in general as well as his study of Bermuda’s lichens.

“If you’d like a chance to have a close look at some of Bermuda’s lichens, come early [between 6.00 and 6.45]. Open to the public. Space is limited. Please visit our website to register online to attend.”
