Reasons to be cheerful: Students from Warwick Academy won
prizes in the Reef Watch art competition

Two Warwick Academy students are the proud winners of prizes in the recent Reef Watch Art Competition.

The winners were Rachael Dill for her sea turtle sculpture and Jamie Newton, who recently joined the school as his father is part of Team Oracle, for his puffer fish sculpture.

Jane Vickers, director of development at Warwick Academy, said: “At Warwick Academy, year three collected beach trash and made 3D posters and sculptures for the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo’s Reef Watch Art Competition.

“This year’s group have been busy with many activities, all focused on ocean conservation and what things we can all do to make a difference.

“On Thursday we will be very lucky have Tara Cassidy from Water Explorer come to talk to the students about what they can over the summer to protect our reefs, sea life and precious and beautiful oceans.”
