BZS/BAMZ provides science classes for more than 6,000 children through the popular Schools Programme. The programme offers a wealth of resources for teachers, including classes at BAMZ and marine and terrestrial field trips for students. We are also able to bring our classes to your school upon request. Additionally, the BZS is committed to helping educators learn more about Bermuda through special courses and materials.
BZS field trips for primary to senior school children highlight key curriculum topics such as Bermuda’s history and geology, habitats, endemic and introduced plant and animal species, adaptations and food chains. We “take only pictures and leave only footprints”—in keeping with the BZS mission to “inspire appreciation and care of island environments”.
BZS/BAMZ provides unique opportunities for educators looking for field trips to enhance classroom lessons. Be sure to check out BZS resources just for educators – including Resource Boxes, Book Bags, and our wide selection of science, nature and social science courses.
